The steep alpine site offered extraordinary views but only a narrow buildable shelf, severe winter exposure, and strict local massing requirements.

Architecture shaped by place, use, and longevity.

Two offset stone and concrete volumes follow the contour instead of resisting it. Service spaces form a protective north edge while living rooms open south toward the valley.

Material palette

A restrained palette with depth and permanence.

Local gneiss, board-formed concrete, smoked oak, blackened steel, and low-iron glass.
